We are looking for a General Manager DACH

This is your chance. We are looking for someone who is ready to expand our business in DACH. With a solid foundation, already growing fast, we need a general manager who is eager to have her/his own organization within a fast growing E-commerce Lighting platform. You already have a good track record in sales, management and in this job you take this one step upwards and make a difference. You are the creative brain and energy behind customer events, local campaigns and other new ways to build relationships. You are leading your team, not afraid to make decisions and commercial successes. Besides the sales activities you have a role in finding potential new (local) suppliers and contribute to the success of WWL across the different markets.

Main responsibilities

  • Expanding our sales in B2B and B2C sales in the DACH region.
  • Execute our international strategy on B2B, but also provide solid input for adjustments of this strategy
  • For B2B
    • Find new customers, offline and online
    • Set up agreements with (large) end user and installers
    • Expand share of wallet with existing customers
    • Make project deals based on tenders
    • Set up supply agreements with organized end-users and installers
    • Built relationships with companies in the value chain, other traders, wholesalers.
    • Suggest adjustments to portfolio (also in brands) to fit local requirements
  • Your team
    • Manage, coach, steer sales team in Cologne
    • Recruit, hire, train, and develop new and existing staff (>20 fte)
  • Cooperate closely with other General managers to share best practices and learnings
  • Have close contact with pricing, marketing, category management to set up the best portfolio for Dach
  • Running the local office, including some HR, facility and administrative tasks

Your new office

At WWL, with our online shops and, you are part of a young, international team. We value independent work, continuous development and close cooperation with our headquarters in the Netherlands. You will work in our modern and newly decorated office in Cologne-Zollstock, which you can reach by public transport, bike or car. You can't do without coffee? Neither do we. Of course, free tea and water are also included.


About you

  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, management, or a related field
  • Solid and proven track record in sales, preferable in Lighting or adjacent categories
  • A good knowledge base of the country/region
  • Experience in an E-commerce environment is a advantage
  • Good people-management skills.
