Job description

CRM & Marketing Automation Specialist

Data tells you what customers are doing. You work out what we can do with those insights.

As a CRM & Marketing Automation Specialist at World Wide Lighting, you’ll combine data, technology and creativity. You’ll ensure that customers don’t just receive any old email, but a relevant message at the right time that matches their needs and behaviour.

From a smart customer journey to a surprising campaign or a well-designed A/B test: you devise, build, test and optimise. You’ll be given the freedom to try out new ideas and see immediately how your work impacts both the customer experience and commercial results.

Where will you be working?

World Wide Lighting is Europe’s leading e-commerce lighting specialist. With nearly 200 colleagues, 24 online shops and operations in more than 15 countries, we help customers find reliable, energy-efficient and smart lighting solutions.

We are ambitious, enterprising and favour a no-nonsense approach. Initiative and a sense of ownership are valued, and good ideas are given the space to flourish.

What will you be doing?

In this role, you will be responsible for our CRM communications and marketing automation. You will combine strategy, creativity and data to engage with customers in a more personalised and relevant way.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Devising, building and optimising email campaigns and customer journeys.

  • Developing lead nurturing strategies, newsletters, commercial campaigns and relevant operational communications.

  • Segmenting and analysing customer data, and translating these insights into personalised campaigns and offers.

  • Working with customer data from our Customer Data Platform.

  • Experimenting with A/B testing, personalisation, content and send times.

  • Analysing results and continuously improving conversion rates, engagement and customer loyalty.

  • Developing reports and sharing insights with stakeholders.

  • Identifying and testing new CRM, personalisation and marketing automation tools and trends.

  • Collaborating with Marketing, Sales, SEO, SEA, CRO and Customer Journey to take campaigns and the customer experience to the next level.

In short: you ensure that data is not just collected, but actually brought to life through relevant communications.

Job requirements

Who are you?

You’re both analytical and creative. You enjoy delving into data, but get just as excited by the question: “What can we come up with using this?”

You combine a keen eye for results with an understanding of the customer. You take the initiative, enjoy experimenting and find it interesting to discover ways to improve things. And because good CRM doesn’t stand alone, you enjoy working with different teams.

In addition, you have:

  • A higher professional education (HBO) or university (WO) degree in marketing, communication, data or a similar field.

  • At least 3 years’ experience with CRM, email marketing and marketing automation.

  • Experience with marketing databases, Customer Data Platforms and consumer campaigns.

  • Knowledge of segmentation, RFM, personalisation and Customer Lifetime Value.

  • Experience with A/B testing and optimising email campaigns.

  • Basic knowledge of HTML and CSS for email; experience with DeployTeq is an advantage.

  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to translate data into concrete actions.

  • Good communication skills and an excellent command of English.

What do we offer you?

  • A challenging role of 32–38 hours per week.

  • A combination of working from our office in Eindhoven and from home.

  • A salary of €3,000–€4,000 gross per month, depending on experience.

  • A laptop, training budget, pension scheme and FiscFree.

  • Opportunities for personal development and career progression.

  • An ambitious, international organisation where initiative and ownership are key.

Ready to bring data, creativity and technology together to make a real impact on the customer journey? Then we’d love to meet you!
